CPCS REPORT ON FEASIBILITY OF A CROSS LAKE ERIE FERRY SERVICE
The first phase of a CPCS report assessing the business case for a cross-Lake Erie ferry service was made public on January 8th. The report was debated by the Municipal Council of Bayham, Ontario on January 14th. Per the findings in the report, which indicated that a cross-Lake Erie ferry service would be speculative, risky and requiring government support, Council decided not to proceed to the next phase of the study, which would have assessed landside infrastructure needs, costs, and project economic, social and environmental impacts.
