Urban Development Master Plans for Calabar City and Development Areas in Cross River State, Nigeria
The objective of this project in Nigeria is to direct the development of the City of Calabar and other development centres in the ethnically-diverse and sparsely populated Cross River State, over a 50-year growth period. The Master Plan is expected to provide a framework for the development and management of the areas under different development scenarios, recognizing the various pull factors in the regions. CPCS is currently working on a land development framework which will be integrated with the socio-economic development of the various districts, and developed in consultation with various stakeholders.
