> SECTOR(S) : Multi-modal, Rail, Urban Transit
> SERVICE(S) : Engineering Consulting, Planning, Economics and Modelling, Poverty Alleviation and Social Impacts, PPP Advisory

This primary objective of this CPCS project was to undertake a feasibility study to determine the viability of creating an interchange transfer facility at the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) Bang Sue Station.  The Bang Sue Terminal Hub (BTH) will serve as an interchange junction for those passengers transferring from one mass transit system to another.

Our team of experts undertook the following specific tasks:

    * reviewed all related studies,
    * prepared traffic analysis projections for expanded commuter rail service,
    * assessed the station demand among northern line,
    * developed the initial costing for physical structures at the BTH,
    * determined the physical layout of the BTH,
    * determined the maintenance requirements and engineering layout of the proposed maintenance facilities in the Hub area.

The financial and economic experts of the team determined the financial and economic return of the proposed project.

The environmental team assessed the environmental impacts both positive and negative, related to the construction of the BTH and maintenance facilities in the hub area, including an assessment of the impacts related to construction work and related developments.  The social team also assessed the physical impact on communities around the Hub area.

CPCS prepared a report on the findings and conclusions on the logistical and technical feasibility of creating the BTH.  The team also prepared an analysis on investment requirements, prepared an investors package and assessed public-private partnership options to develop the BHT.
