This is an ongoing project, led by Global Insight, that involves forecasting domestic and international commodity flows, trade and modal traffic in Canada. One of CPCS’ Principal Transport Economists (Dr. Joseph Schulman) is a member of the project team, charged with reviewing traffic forecasts and related assumptions and generally providing a quality assurance role. The project team is developing forecasts in a process that uses quantitative forecasting methodology, inputs from industry experts and validation through stakeholder participation in transportation demand workshops.   |
