INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING & REFORM

CPCS’s success in planning infrastructure and in introducing a more commercial approach to infrastructure management, often depends on the extent to which institutions can respond and adapt to new approaches. Public institutions must be able to implement and support change.

We assess and strengthen the capacity of government institutions to perform key public sector roles, such as policy, planning and regulation. We diagnose organizational and human resource strengths and weaknesses. We design new or strengthened institutional arrangements that fit the country’s circumstances and recommend financial solutions to enable them to attract appropriate staff.  We help implement these plans, ensuring our clients can absorb new projects and effectively transition to market-oriented management systems

We provide governance, management, organizational development, staffing, training and adjustment services to implement these plans, both to public- and private-sector clients, drawing on our global network of specialized, experienced consultants.

The results of this work are improved service, more effective public institutions, and a better operating environment for private companies.
